The American Cancer Society holds a Relay For Life event yearly. It is a life-changing event that helps communities across the globe celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. It is organized as follows:
- Overnight relay-style event
- Teams of people camp out around a track
- Members of each team take turns walking around the track for the duration of the event
- Food, games and activities provide entertainment and fundraising opportunities
- Family-friendly environment for the entire community

Dr. Bruno Repetto participated in the event, which took place in the Norris Middle School on June 2-3, 2012 from 6pm to 6am. He performed the Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan demo form (49 postures), the sword and the saber forms to the delight of all present. Dr Repetto participated in the event at the request of one of the event organizers, Ms. Ruth Williamson, who is one of his dedicated students.
